As the season makes the final shift towards (dare we say it?) Autumn, so too does our textile focus. Heavier weaves, luxe finishes and darker shades begin to creep out of the woodwork and wrap themselves around our shoulders. But this time around the seasonal exchange is not about hibernation…No no no!
As we delve into the richness of Autumn, a new trend has emerged and flamboyance is key! Prada, Burberry and Dries Van Noten all embraced an eclectic mish-mash of prints and patterns, finishes and textures. Anchored around a 70’s colour palette, burnt orange, mustard and deep amethyst sat comfortably next to popping pink and baby blue pastels.
With an air of bohemian opulence, this is a case of “more is more”. Shiny embellishments, suede fringing, blanket patchwork and luxe velvets were all welcome. Inspired by the sumptuousness we have been delving into our archives to see what has been squirrelled away for the lavish fore coming season…
